Since its inception FRC has provided high-level Engineering and Integration support for various Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) systems. FRC has been involved in the overall development process from problem definition and concept formulation to final test and evaluation; providing system design, requirements definition, subsystem integration, maturity assessment, capability characterization, and integrated logistics support; technologies include missile propulsion; guidance, and control; radar and optical sensors; computers and software; fire control and communication; and target signature analysis.

FRC engineers have a plethora of experience in developing real-time and non real-time simulation and modeling applications. FRC has developed hardware-in-the-Loop and software-in-the-Loop simulations.
